Miss Part I of my QuickTime VR coverage? Here it is.

QuickTime VR panoramic movies enable people to explore places; QuickTime VR object movies enable them to examine things: to grab them and turn them around, to look at them from above and below.

In my January 1997 column, I showed how to make QuickTime VR panoramics using some of Apple's latest tools, some of which are free. This time around, it's the world of object movies, and there's good news: simple object movies are easier to create than panoramics.

My February 1997 "Media" column is the second installment of a two-part series on QuickTime VR. If you haven't read the column, you can read its online version on Macworld Online. (Tip: Because my column always relies heavily on graphics and how-to illustrations, you'll get more out of it by reading the print edition of Macworld.)

WHAT'S IN THIS MONTH'S HOTMEDIA   This installment of HotMedia includes links to sample QuickTime VR object movies located here on Heidsite as well as links to additional information on QuickTime VR.

OBJECT MOVIES ON HEIDSITE

I've created a sample page containing a few object movies that illustrate the concepts and techniques described in my column. To view these movies, you need the QuickTime plug-in and QuickTime VR components files, both of which are available from Apple's QuickTime VR Web site.
